JoinHer & ACSONI are delighted to host the Black History Expo in the historic St George’s Market, Belfast. We have taken your feedback on board and we are making this years event even better!
Where the community here in Northern Ireland (and across the UK) gain understanding and experience of the Black community’s Histories, Cultures, Heritage, and shared stories of ongoing positive contributions, particularly in the Education, Health, Economic and Social Sectors.
Businesses from Black and Diverse communities join up to take part as exhibitors. Throughout the day community groups, entrepreneurs and businesses will showcase their work and services as we welcome visitors to the Expo.
Network & Connect: Experience the different services and meet the people from the organisations’ making a difference in Northern Ireland.
Learning: Hear from experts about opportunities to learn from each other and strengthen relationships. Gain an understanding and experience of the Black community’s Histories, Cultures, Heritage, from shared stories.
Food: Taste something different and enjoy the flavours from the Africa continent, the Caribbean and around the world.
Music & Entertainment: Vibrant music & artists to give you an insight into the diverse sights & sounds.
Anti-Slavery Tours: A guided tour highlighting local historical sites and the history of Belfast as an anti-slavery city.
Crafts: The whole family can come and experience traditional crafts, clothing, decoration, artwork and more; and even leave with a bought souvenir.
